NO!!!!!!! there is approximately 600 psi of string tension on a steel stringed guitar trying to fold it in two. Resistance is BUILT into the guitar, if you go changing out to nylon strings, you’ll drop that tension down to about 100 psi. It may work short term but TRUST ME, big trouble will lay ahead.
