Playing a steel-string guitar — hoping not to get cut up?

Hey all Does anyone have the council (or links to the Web site discussing this subject) about to begin on a guitar of steel-string without obtaining equally cut. The reason I 'm the that does not begin on a nylon BTW is that there isn 't a readily available while there is a steel-string I can use for free. Thank you

I never got any cuts and I started with a Steel-string…
Just don’t start any slides to soon and it should all be good!
