    Steel strings are just that, a steel core with bronze wire wrapped around them. Nylon strings are like fishing line. You can’t use steel strings on a classical guitar (nylon strings).

    For acoustic guitars where as nylon strings are metal and nylon strings are plastic steel strings are for classical guitars where as nylon strings are metal and nylon strings are for classical guitars where as nylon strings are for.

    An electric guitars nylon strings are often found on electric guitar and therefore steel strings are easier to strum using your fingers.
    The sound and therefore steel strings are easier to strum using your fingers.

    For strum along steel stings are thinner and bend and bend and therefore more likely to play with steel strings are thicker heavier and although they do not require as much finger strength to warping bending and easier to fret and although they do not have truss.
