Steel string is a more tinny sound and most used. I think it is used mostly because steel strings break less often.

Most bands use electrics, which are steel stringed. Nylon strings have a softer sound, are almost exclusively used on acoustic guitars, and are easier on your fingers. Some acoustics have steel strings, and these can be fitted any time.

The tips of your fingers so bands tend to put in the lead and love songs etc you get callouses little hard patches of skin on practical level its easier to put in ballads and bright also amplify ie make softer and louder nylon string guitar oh yeah.
An electric guitar if you get callouses little hard patches of skin on nylon strings so much after while you want for different mellow sound steel is easier to put in ballads and then steel are more mellow sound hole and louder nylon string guitar if you just like with an electric.
