If you’re new to guitar, that means practice, and plenty of it. Nylon strings are easier to play and easier to gauge how well your practice sessions have been.

Oscar Lopez and Ottmar Liebert ore good examples of great nylon string picking. Marc Antoine uses steel strings, but all three are genres of Jazz, latin, and possibly tango-folk. You’ll need to expand you musical preferences to hear what’s all out there.
