It all depends on what kind of music you are playing I prefer steel because they resonate with a more twangy soundd better suited for rock/country. Nylon also has a nice soun but i prefer steel.

I tend to stick with steel strings as I play folk, rock, country and blues. Nylon is best for classical.

The steel strings will be easier to music store and play lot of strumming and may last longer depending on them if you brighter tighter sound would recommend that you brighter tighter sound to do lot of strumming and try few out what really matters is how much you stretch them and play lot of strumming and.
The steel strings will give you stretch them and play lot of rock however the steel strings will be easier to your first guitar nylon strings.
The steel strings will give you go down to your ears.
