1920’s Martin guitar braces- what’s the difference in height of the main x brace steel vs gut , at the “x”

I want to know if you can tell visually, apparently where the "X" reinforces the crossbar just inside the soundhole, if a 1920 's guitar Martin is reinforced for the strings intestines or steel. They are the hooks steel string higher, as 3 / 4 "and the hooks intestines not as high as 1 / 2" or so radrizzi the "X"? Thank you
